The home inventory you hope you never need

Nobody photographs the house until something has happened to it. An inventory is half an hour of dull work that only matters once — so Muninn makes it the same work you were already doing: label a bin, photograph what goes in, and the document builds itself. When you need it, it prints.

Bin 9, Camping & outdoor, in the Garage on IKEA shelf #2, with its eight items listed: a four-person tent, sleeping bags, a two-burner camp stove, folding chairs, a cooler and a camping lantern.

Photograph as you put things away, not after

Open a bin, take one picture, and let Muninn list what is inside. The photo stays attached to the item, which is the part a loss adjuster actually wants and the part nobody has afterwards.

Serial numbers, values and dates, where they belong

Items carry make and model, serial number, purchase date and value. Fill in what you know for the things that matter and leave the rest — a half-filled record of the television is worth more than a perfect record of nothing.

One document, room by room

Settings → Export → Printable report lays the whole household out place by place and bin by bin, with the photos and the values, and every field you filled in. Print it, or use your print dialog’s Save as PDF and keep it somewhere that is not the house.

Kept, not locked

The export is yours on every plan, including the free one, and it stays available if you stop paying — a cap can stop you adding more, never reading or exporting what is already there.
